My name is Jeff Langendorf, AKA Jetty. I am a published ASCAP author, composer and I have written a few short stories and the Sci-Fi novel series "Exit The Stars."
One of my favorite stories is my family's story of escaping religious persecution in Russia, modern day Ukraine. My uncle actually sat on Rasputin's lap as a healer. But when things got unbearable, they took off on foot. It was a long dangerous exciting journey that ended up in Ellis Island through Belgium two years later. Many near death experiences to eventually land in the freedom of the USA. I also have a short story of inspirations and quotes.
The Sci - fi story concept is a nomadic race traveling in time and space Each capable of standing on its own and one is a musical (The Witch Doctors from Mars), an animation idea (Hooch the Spacecraft) two rock albums. Radio Mars and the Creator of Mars) The last chapter would be an incredibly colorful musical with dance music (Her Majesty the Cyber Queen).
First and foremost, I am a writer. I am an published ASCAP songwriter. I have a song published by ASCAP in a film In 200I co-wrote the song with another ASCAP writer, which was added to a film which won an award for best Drama at the family film festival. I have an ASCAP Publishing Company, Radio Mars Music.
I have written music for film and musical theater and a radio series. I have acted and played in bands as well as participated in musicals and theater.
I have worked as A PA on sets and done lighting and set work. My first PA job was with Kim Hunter, The famous Stelllaaaaa, from a street car named Desire, the academy award winning actress for best supporting role. Yes I retrieved her coffee.
I produced as well as part time hosted as a VJ on a cable show that ran for over 10 years in the early 2000's called VMS. The Video Mystery Show, frequently showcased and interviewed local LA rock bands.
I have also written and performed music in a community theatre group in the 80’s and early 90‘s. (Malibu Summer stage). I also performed frequently as an actor with the group.
During the late 80’s, I traveled and played live music in Europe as well as in LA in a pop rock group called the Boon’s in the 1986.
I also worked on a sound track (wrote the main theme) for a radio format comedy series set in the nineteen forties (Crack N Wise).
